The Towpath Trail consists of five miles along the Chenango Canal historic towpath and a little over 1 mile along the abandoned railroad leading South towards the Village of Hamilton.

Total length including a side branch to the Elisha Payne Airport (stay off the runway!) is 6.36 miles.

Birding along the trail is excellent at peak migration times and Woodman Pond often has a wide variety of waterfowl in the Fall.

Park at the Canal Museum in Bouckville or on Woodman Pond Road at the canal.
