Special program on the canal at the Quincy Square Museum in Earlville, NY on Saturday July 25, 2009 at 2 PM.

Rose Wellman and Harvey L. Kliman will present a program about the Chenango Canal and its history. 

Retired Sherburne Town Historian, Rose Wellman has written a new book about the canal and it will be on sale for $15. This is her fourth book and all proceeds will go to the museum. She is the current president of the Quincy Square Museum and also its historian, as well as a founding member of the Sherburne Historic Park Society. She now does free-lance writing and donates any proceeds to these societies to which she belongs.

Harvey Kliman is a member of the Chenango Canal Association, and President of the Southern Madison Heritage Trust, a local land trust based in six towns in southern Madison County. To learn more about the trust, see www.smht.org .
