Events and activities we’ve participated in or done along the canal. Here you can see some of what we are working on and striving to accomplish.
Chenango Canal Can-Do Project: CazCans on Route 12B, Hamilton and Nickel-Back Redemption on Route 12, Waterville both accept returnable cans and bottles for the benefit of the Chenango Canal Towpath Trail. If you would like to contribute to a public rural walking trail, consider dropping off your returnables at these two locations. A group of large blue barrels located at the Canal Cottage Museum parking lot in Bouckville are also available to leave returnables. The CCA places the blue barrels on the fields along Route 20 during the Bouckville-Madison Antique Show in August. The CCA raises money year-round to help pay expenses to maintain and improve the five-mile summit level of the Chenango Canal Towpath Trail. We volunteer and we appreciate your help!
Chenango Canal Corridor Connections trail project: This is a major project with the vision to link various trails along the general canal and O&W rail corridors from Utica to Binghamton, NY. A separate web site has been created to follow this project. Go ==>
