Canal Cottage Museum (Outside)

Welcome to the Chenango Canal Association’s Cottage Museum. This audio tour is provided by the Chenango Canal Association.  A map of the 17 audio stops is posted near the front door of the Cottage Museum and can also be found at our web site, chenangocanal.org.  The first three stops are inside the museum, and the rest are on the five-mile historic Towpath Trail along the Chenango Canal.  The stops do not have to be done in order.  You may walk or bike the Towpath Trail, which continues both north and south from the Cottage Museum to find the audio tour signs.  Call the number on the sign, or scan the QR code and enter the stop number to hear the story of our cultural heritage.  Thank you, and enjoy our story of a canal that was built at a time where there was no engineering school in the country and how the Chenango Canal affected our local and national cultural heritage.
