Chenango Canal Association, Inc.
an all-volunteer 501 (c) 3 nonprofit

Volunteers needed on Friday, Oct. 15
and the morning of the event on October 16 from 10-2
to:

fairy tale figures to post in the ground

props on the haunted trail

a shipwreck on the shore

several canopies

set up for movie in the “dungeon”

 tables and chairs

I could also use help at different sites to monitor the kids. We can use 2 judges for the costume contest, one to take pictures and one  to record the names of winners. Kids come dressed up and we give away ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in prettiest, most original, scariest, most cute, and funniest.

I need one person in the refreshments tent to monitor donuts, candy, and cider given away.

I need two people to divide visitors into groups of 10 to walk down the live haunted trail. This haunted trail walk starts as soon as it gets dark (around 7 pm) so these people don't have to report in until 6:30 pm. Madison Central School is working on the haunting!

We have a Clues Hunt & Adventure Walk, where children follow clues hidden around the trail. They have to find their way through a maze, crawl through a cave crawl and walk on a spider web drawn on the deck. I need one person to monitor this game.

This is all outdoors, and we all dress up in costume. I have some costumes here.
Safety is first, so a flashlight is necessary. It is a lot of fun.

Call me at 315-729-8323 for more information or contact Diane by email - times for helping are flexible. Thank you for helping make this a fun community event!

Happy trails,
Diane Van Slyke        We need your help for this to be a successful event again this year.
